Rainbow Falls Mountain Trout
Rainbow Falls is a private fly fishing club with a multi-year waiting list for membership. It is also Colorado’s oldest trout hatchery with nine continually stocked lakes and nearly one mile of stream. What separates Rainbow Falls from other areas is the Big Spring, which produces a constant 51 degrees flow of water, channeled through Trout Raceways, raising over 10,000 new trout year-round. This runs into Spring Lake which never freezes, then two more lakes, joining the Trout Creek lakes downstream. The unique combination of Trout Creek and the Natural Spring provide all of Rainbow Falls lakes and stream with constant water flow the year round and catch and release is practiced on all lakes and streams.
Your Hosts & Fly Fishing Instructors During the Women’s Rocky Mountain Fly Fishing Retreat
Rachel Leinweber, General Manager / Guide, Angler's Covey
Rachel is the General Manager of Angler’s Covey, Pike Peak Outfitter, and Colorado Tackle Pro. Rachel is also one of our guides, in addition to helping lead Pikes Peak Women Anglers, and assists with our classes and guide service. Growing up in the fly shop, Rachel gained a passion and respect for fly fishing and loves that it is a sport where you never stop learning. Although she loves catching salmon in Alaska or huge trout in the South Platte, she’s happiest hiking to a small stream fishing for enthusiastic brookies.
Becky Leinweber, Co-Owner / Guide, Angler's Covey
Becky and her husband, David, have owned Angler’s Covey since 1997. Becky has been teaching women’s fly fishing classes for over 15 years, co-founded and leads the Pikes Peak Women Anglers, hosts and guides Casting for Recovery retreats for survivors of breast cancer and guides for Project Healing Waters for wounded veterans and active duty military personnel. Becky also serves as Executive Director for the Pikes Peak Outdoor Recreation Alliance. Her favorite fishing is on backcountry streams catching small but beautiful brook trout.
